Research in Games: Making the Abstract Concrete
Arrangementet er afholdt
(blev afholdt tirsdag, 25. oktober 2005, kl. 14:15-16:00)
The discipline of applied games user research is still in its
infancy, and the implementation of user testing and other HCI-related
techniques are not widespread. As we grow their is great potential to
have impact on games, industry development processes, and ultimately
our users. However, we continually face barriers that impede a real
impact on the industry. It is my belief that we can overcome this,
not by breaking new ground or creating new theories, but by refining
some core skills, i.e., making abstract concepts measurable and
concrete.
